Luggage Allowance

To ensure a smooth and stress-free travel experience, it’s important to understand our luggage guidelines before your flight. Here’s what to keep in mind:

Review Your Booking Details

Your luggage allowance depends on the fare type you’ve booked. Please check your confirmation email or online booking summary for specific weight limits and details.

Additional Luggage on Standby

If your luggage exceeds the guaranteed weight allowance, you may bring extra items on a standby basis. Space is not guaranteed, and additional fees may apply depending on your fare type. Extra luggage may be transported on an earlier or later flight, depending on available space. This option is available only for domestic flights.

Guaranteeing Extra Luggage

You can purchase an extra seat to guarantee up to 200 lbs of additional luggage, which can be shared among your travel party. Please note: no individual bag may exceed 50 lbs, to ensure safe handling by our dock crew.

No Limit on Number of Bags

There’s no restriction on the number of bags you can bring. However, all items—including purses, briefcases, backpacks, and pet weight—count toward your total luggage allowance. Due to aircraft limitations, we must account for the weight of every item, regardless of size.

Maximum Luggage Dimension

To ensure your luggage fits within our aircraft’s capacity, please refer to the chart below for our maximum allowable dimensions.

If you're traveling with a larger item and are unsure which aircraft you'll be flying on, we recommend contacting our Customer Contact Centre at reservation@harbourair.com. Our team will be happy to confirm the aircraft type and help you plan accordingly.

By planning ahead and understanding your luggage options, you’ll enjoy a smoother journey with Harbour Air.
